Metallic and graphite bipolar plates provide structural support and influence performance in PEM fuel cells. They distribute reactant gases across the active area, conduct electrical current between adjacent cells, manage thermal loads, and channel water out of the assembly. The plates must perform all these functions simultaneously inside a harsh electrochemical environment. Engineers primarily choose between metallic and graphite-based materials for these critical components.

Metallic plates provide high mechanical strength, allow for thin fabrication, offer good formability, and provide low gas permeability. Graphite plates deliver strong chemical stability and electrical conductivity, but they introduce brittleness and distinct manufacturing challenges. For bipolar plate suppliers, understanding these material trade-offs is important when selecting the appropriate manufacturing route and material for a PEM fuel cell stack.

What Are Metallic and Graphite Bipolar Plates?

Metallic Bipolar Plates

These plates are formed from high-strength metals. Manufacturers commonly use stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys, and aluminum alloys. Metallic plates can be manufactured in extremely thin sections because the base material possesses high mechanical yield strength. This mechanical strength supports precise flow-field fabrication during manufacturing. Engineers specify these metals specifically for their low gas permeability and their ability to form complex geometries without cracking under pressure.

Graphite Bipolar Plates

Graphite serves as the historical baseline material for PEM fuel cells. The industry uses it heavily because of its excellent natural electrical conductivity and high chemical stability in acidic environments. Graphite does not undergo metallic corrosion, although its durability remains dependent on the material grade and operating conditions. However, solid graphite is inherently brittle. The material generally requires greater physical thickness to achieve the necessary structural performance. It often demands slow mechanical machining or complex additional processing to form the required gas flow channels without shattering the plate.

Metallic vs Graphite Bipolar Plates: Key Differences

Material selection for bipolar plates requires balancing competing mechanical and chemical priorities. No single material solves every engineering challenge perfectly.

Thin construction can reduce stack volume

Greater thickness can increase volume

You cannot apply these values universally across every fuel cell design. Actual performance depends heavily on the specific metal alloy, the grade of the graphite, applied surface coatings, the exact manufacturing method, and the internal operating environment of the stack. The primary engineering trade-off usually comes down to graphite’s natural corrosion resistance versus the mechanical strength and thinness of metal.

Corrosion Resistance and Durability

Corrosion can adversely affect fuel-cell performance and bipolar-plate durability. PEM fuel cells expose bipolar plates to demanding acidic and electrochemical conditions continuously. Metallic materials face significant chemical challenges here. They can experience active corrosion or passive-film formation. This passive oxide film acts as an electrical insulator, increasing the interfacial contact resistance and dropping the power output. Metallic corrosion can release ions that may adversely affect fuel-cell components, including the membrane electrode assembly.

Graphite provides strong chemical stability in this environment. It resists acidic attack naturally, but it introduces heavy mechanical and manufacturing limitations. For metallic plates to survive, manufacturers apply advanced protective coatings and surface engineering techniques. A proper conductive coating improves the corrosion resistance of the metal while maintaining the required electrical contact performance. You should never assume an uncoated base metal automatically provides better durability than solid graphite.

Mechanical Strength, Thickness and Gas Permeability

Metals generally provide a significant mechanical advantage in fuel-cell assembly. The higher mechanical strength allows engineers to design extremely thin plates. This thin profile is critical for building compact, high-density fuel cell stacks. Metals also offer excellent resistance to handling damage during automated factory assembly. Furthermore, solid metal provides reduced gas permeability, reducing gas permeation through the plate structure.

Graphite’s lower mechanical strength and natural brittleness restrict thin-plate designs. You must make the plate thicker to prevent it from cracking under the compressive load of the assembled stack. This brittleness makes fabricating complex flow-field geometries much more challenging. A brittle material limits how closely you can space the gas channels before the dividing walls snap during manufacturing.

Manufacturing and Production Considerations

The choice of material dictates the manufacturing process. Metallic plates support high-volume production techniques. Manufacturers use heavy stamping and forming presses to shape the metal. They also use laser processing for precise cutting. Photochemical etching provides a highly precise manufacturing approach for metallic bipolar plates. This chemical process dissolves the metal to create perfect flow-field channels without introducing physical stress or warping the thin plate. Engineers also apply surface treatments and conductive coatings directly to the formed metal.

Graphite plates require different handling. Manufacturers usually rely on slow CNC machining to cut flow fields into solid graphite blocks. Some advanced graphite composites allow for molding and compression processes, but these require expensive tooling. Graphite always demands greater care during handling and assembly because of its severe brittleness. The selected manufacturing method influences flow-field precision, production repeatability, total material utilization, and the final component cost. Photochemical etching can offer advantages for bipolar plates requiring fine or complex channel geometries.

When Are Metallic Bipolar Plates the Better Choice?

Metallic construction proves highly attractive for automotive and transportation-oriented PEM fuel cells. Vehicles require compact stack designs to fit under the hood. Applications requiring ultra-thin plates to maximize power density rely on metal. High-volume manufacturing lines use metal because it stamps and etches quickly and predictably. Metallic plates can be advantageous where precise, complex flow-field geometries and thin channel walls are required. When mechanical durability and resistance to road vibration are important, engineers specify coated metallic plates.

When Can Graphite Bipolar Plates Be the Better Option?

Graphite characteristics remain valuable for specific stationary applications. When a system has absolute, uncompromising corrosion resistance requirements, graphite is the baseline choice. Graphite can be considered where its chemical stability offers a significant advantage over the mechanical and manufacturing limitations. If the physical design allows for greater plate thickness and weight is not a primary concern, graphite works well. Engineers select it for systems where established, uncoated performance is prioritized over thin-sheet manufacturing techniques.

What Should Buyers Look for in Bipolar Plate Suppliers?

Procurement teams must evaluate manufacturers based on strict technical capabilities. You must verify the exact material grade and demand full metallurgical traceability. Check their ability to hold tight dimensional tolerances across the entire plate surface. Evaluate how accurately they can reproduce your specific flow-field geometry. Review their primary manufacturing process and the resulting surface finish.

If you specify metal, verify its coating capability. They must meet your exact corrosion and conductivity requirements. Confirm their maximum production volume to ensure they can scale with your project. Review their inspection protocols and quality documentation. Finally, test their prototyping speed and production repeatability. Careful supplier evaluation helps ensure that the supplied components match the required fuel-cell architecture and manufacturing specifications.

Metallic vs Graphite Bipolar Plates: Which Should You Choose?

Choose metallic plates when thin construction, high mechanical strength, low gas permeability, and scalable precision manufacturing are your primary priorities. Consider graphite, where extreme natural corrosion resistance is more important, and your design can accommodate the additional thickness and brittleness. Remember that metallic plates usually require corrosion protection and surface engineering depending on the specific metal alloy and the PEM operating conditions. The correct choice always depends directly on your fuel cell architecture, the operating environment, your manufacturing requirements, and the final production scale.

If you’ve ever sat through a meeting where someone flashed up a slide full of numbers and everyone in the room just… nodded along without really understanding it, you already know why this topic matters. I’ve been in that room more times than I’d like to admit. The data was solid. The insight was there. But nobody could see it, because nobody had told the story properly.

That’s the gap that corporate data storytelling is meant to close and it’s why storytelling in corporate training has become such a hot topic across boardrooms in Sydney, Melbourne and well beyond. In this guide, I’ll walk you through what data storytelling training actually involves, who genuinely benefits from it, and how to pick a programme that won’t just look good on a training calendar but will actually change how your team communicates.

What Is Data Storytelling Training, Really?

At its core, data storytelling training teaches people how to turn raw numbers into a narrative that a non-technical audience can actually follow and act on. It’s not about dumbing things down. It’s about giving data a shape. A beginning, a tension, a resolution.

In my experience running workshops on this exact subject, the biggest “aha” moment for participants isn’t learning a new chart type. It’s realising that a spreadsheet full of correct figures can still fail completely if there’s no narrative thread holding it together. Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic, whose book Storytelling with Data is something of a bible in this space, puts it simply: context and narrative matter as much as the numbers themselves. I’d agree, and I’d go further without the narrative, the numbers often don’t even get remembered.

A good data storytelling course typically covers three pillars: understanding your audience, choosing the right data visualisation for the message (not just the prettiest one), and structuring the delivery so it sticks. Some programmes lean heavily into software, Tableau, Power BI, that sort of thing. Others focus purely on the communication and narrative skills, which, honestly, are where most teams are weakest.

Who Actually Needs This Training?

Short answer? More people than you’d think.

Business professionals presenting quarterly results to leadership. Analysts who understand the “what” of their data but struggle with the “so what”. Educators are trying to make classroom data meaningful to parents and students alike. Marketers translating campaign metrics into a story that convinces a client to renew a contract. And whole organisations trying to build a culture where decisions are made with data, not despite it.

I’ve noticed a pattern over the years the people who resist this training the most are often the ones who need it the most. Technical experts sometimes assume that because their data is accurate, their point is automatically clear. It isn’t. Clarity is a separate skill from accuracy, and it has to be learned like any other.

If your organisation is investing in a data literacy webinar or broader upskilling initiative, data storytelling should sit right alongside it. Data literacy tells people what the numbers mean. Data storytelling tells people why they should care.

Corporate Data Storytelling: Why It’s Becoming a Boardroom Priority

Here’s something worth sitting with: a widely cited MIT Sloan and IBM study found that data-driven organisations are significantly more likely to report improved decision-making and better financial outcomes than those that aren’t. But this is the part that often gets skipped, having data isn’t the same as using it well. Plenty of companies are drowning in dashboards nobody reads.

That’s exactly why corporate data storytelling has shifted from being a “nice to have” workshop to a genuine strategic priority. Boards want confidence that decisions are grounded in evidence, and the fastest way to build that confidence is through a clear, well-told data narrative rather than a 40-tab Excel file nobody opens twice.

I’ll be upfront here: training alone won’t fix a broken data culture overnight. It’s a start, not a silver bullet. Real change also needs leadership buy-in and consistent practice, not a one-off session that gets forgotten by the following sprint.

How to Choose the Right Data Storytelling Programme

This is where a lot of organisations get stuck, so let’s break it down properly.

First, look at whether the facilitator has real-world experience, not just theoretical knowledge. Someone who’s genuinely worked with messy business data sales figures that don’t add up cleanly and survey results with awkward gaps will teach very differently to someone who’s only ever worked with tidy textbook examples. Ask for case studies or client outcomes. A credible data storytelling speaker in Australia should be able to point to actual results, not just testimonials.

Second, check the format fits your team. A half-day intensive workshop suits teams needing a quick capability lift. A longer, multi-session data storytelling course suits organisations wanting deeper, embedded change particularly if you’re trying to shift an entire department’s habits, not just one presenter’s slide deck.

Third, consider whether the content is tailored or generic. Off-the-shelf training has its place, but the best programmes adapt examples to your actual industry data. If you’re in finance, you want examples with financial data. If you’re in education, you want the case studies to reflect classroom or enrolment data, not retail sales.

Finally, and this one’s easy to overlook look for ongoing resources. A good programme often points people towards further learning, whether that’s a recommended data storytelling book, a relevant data talk podcast, or access to a follow-up data analytics webinar. Learning a skill like this in one sitting rarely sticks; reinforcement matters.

For a deeper look at building this capability across your whole organisation, our corporate training and keynote programmes page outlines how a tailored approach works in practice, and our data storytelling workshops breaks down formats in more detail.

Final Thoughts

Good data storytelling training doesn’t just teach people to build nicer charts. It teaches them to be understood and in a business environment full of noise, that’s genuinely rare. If you’re weighing up options for your team or organisation, have a look at how Selena Fisk’s programmes approach corporate data storytelling, and get in touch to talk through what would actually suit your team’s needs.

FAQ

What’s the difference between data visualisation and data storytelling?
Data visualisation is the chart or graph itself. Data storytelling is everything around it, the narrative, the context and the “why should you care” that makes the visual actually land with your audience.

How long does data storytelling training usually take?
It varies quite a bit. Some workshops run as a single half-day session, while more comprehensive corporate programmes can span several weeks with follow-up coaching built in.

Is data storytelling training only for analysts?
Not at all. Marketers, educators, executives and team leaders all benefit — really, anyone who needs to present data to an audience that isn’t as technically fluent as they are.

Can data storytelling really improve business decision-making?
Yes, though it works best alongside good data practices generally. Clear storytelling helps decision-makers actually understand and trust the data in front of them, which tends to lead to faster, more confident calls.

What should I look for in a data storytelling speaker in Australia?
Real industry experience, tailored examples relevant to your sector, and a track record of measurable outcomes with past clients not just a polished pitch deck.

A guest walks into a hotel and observes the things kept to get noticed – the architecture, the lighting, the restaurant, the room, and the welcome.

What usually is not observed are the things that happen before that moment. Someone has checked the room; someone has cross-checked the reservation; the kitchen has prepared for the day’s service. Engineering teams have ensured that important systems are working. Housekeeping has worked around arrivals and departures. Front-office teams have reviewed guest requirements.

When all of this works properly, the guest may barely notice any of it.

That is the point.

The best hospitality operations often make complexity feel simple. For hospitality leaders like Suresh Nanda and Suresh Nanda Son – Sanjeev Nanda, the balance between what guests see and what happens behind the scenes remains an important part of making a hospitality business successful.

Hospitality Has an Invisible Architecture

Hotels are physical spaces, but their experiences leave a long-lasting impression. A guest’s stay can involve multiple departments working simultaneously:

Reservations and front office

Food and beverage

Engineering and maintenance

Guest relations

Procurement and supply chains

None of these functions exists independently. A delayed room can affect check-in; a procurement issue might affect a restaurant menu. A maintenance problem can influence guest satisfaction. Poor communication between departments can turn a minor issue into a visible service problem.

For guests, it might be just “good” or “bad” service.

Behind the scenes, it is usually a question of coordination.

Why Consistency Matters?

One successful interaction does not create a hospitality brand. It takes time to build an image in a highly fragile market, where one negative incident can damage the company’s reputation. The real challenge thus is delivering a consistent experience across hundreds or thousands of guest interactions.

That requires processes.

Service standards must be understood across teams, while employees need appropriate training to stay productive. Feedback matters the most and must be shared with people responsible for improving operations.

These processes are important for established hotels.

A property may have a strong reputation because of its history, but reputation creates expectations. Maintaining that reputation requires continuous attention to the details that guests may never see.

The Human Element Still Matters

Behind every technology and development is a person.

A hotel employee deciding how to handle a guest request.

A chef checking the dishes.

A housekeeping team preparing rooms under tight timelines.

A manager solving an unexpected problem.

These decisions cannot always be reduced to a process manual.

Even Suresh Nanda news mentions that even hospitality entrepreneurs are now investing in people and organisational culture. Employees must be given the authority, training, and information to respond when situations do not follow the expected script.

The result is something that technology alone cannot create – a sense of being looked after.

How Heritage Hotels Are Adding to the Equation

Unlike other properties, heritage properties face an additional challenge. They have something that newer hotels spend years trying to build – history and identity.

But history alone does not guarantee relevance. The property has to continue meeting contemporary expectations while protecting the elements that make it distinctive.

The Claridges, New Delhi, exemplifies this context. Suresh Nanda, who acquired the hotel, has continued to operate the property as one of Delhi’s established hospitality landmarks. More recently, its partnership with Indian Hotels Company Limited has marked the expansion phase for the Claridges brand. As per Suresh Nanda news, IHCL will manage The Claridges, New Delhi, and the wider Claridges Collection planned for expansion.

The development illustrates an important point: a hospitality brand’s future is not determined only by what guests see today, but by the systems and decisions being made for tomorrow.

The Experience Guests Remember

Ultimately, guests rarely leave a hotel thinking about its organisational structure. They remember whether the stay felt smooth or not.

They remember whether someone anticipated a need, whether a meal was memorable, whether the room felt right and whether the service seemed effortless.

As per Suresh Nanda news, that effortless feeling is often the product of considerable effort.

It comes from people who prepared before the guest arrived, teams that communicated when nobody was watching, and systems designed to prevent small problems from becoming visible ones.

And when everything comes together, the guest simply experiences what every great hospitality brand ultimately aims to deliver – a stay that feels effortless, thoughtful and worth remembering.

The UAE business scene is changing fast. Now getting access to money isn’t just about having a good idea or a solid balance sheet. It’s about timing, knowing your position and being ready ahead of time. More and more companies aren’t waiting until they’re short on cash to think about financing. Instead they’re planning their funding needs before big opportunities come up before they expand or before cash flow gets tight.

This shift is happening across all kinds of businesses. From property developers and infrastructure firms to growing small and medium enterprises and well-established corporations. The key difference is that those who plan ahead can respond better when market conditions shift. That’s where smart financial advice becomes really valuable.

Why Capital Timing Is Becoming a Strategic Issue

Even businesses that are able to generate profits can struggle financially when payments from customers come in later than expected, when there are greater requirements for inventory, or when a major contract requires making payments upfront.

At the same time, businesses that are involved in real estate and infrastructure often must deal with projects that last over a long period of time. Thus, the invested capital may sit idle for months or years until the profits of the project finally start flowing.

So, this means that there are two kinds of financing that are involved in businesses like that: instant cash for immediate operations and structured financing for long-term projects. If we treat both types of financing alike, it can lead to increased financial pressure.

A more proactive approach enables businesses to separate short-term liquidity from long-term financing needs and clarify their capital strategy.

From Emergency Funding to Planned Liquidity

Working capital is something that comes into play when a business experiences liquidity issues. Successful companies understand the importance of considering liquidity in their planning process.

A short term working capital loan helps finance short-term operational needs such as supplier payments, inventory purchases, project costs, or timing mismatches between accounts receivable and accounts payable.

The purpose of this process is not merely to obtain funds rather, it is to match the funding time frame to the requirement.

In any case, for example, a company receiving large payments months after delivering goods and services may need to secure funds to keep it running until receiving the money.

Well-structured short-term financing can allow a business to bridge that gap without incurring long-term liabilities.

Real Estate Finance Is Becoming More Structured

The real estate industry in the UAE encompasses projects ranging from various risk profiles to different stages of development, cash flows, and funding needs. Financing techniques must therefore evolve as projects become more sophisticated from basic borrowing.

A real estate finance company can provide considerable assistance to firms in evaluating and choosing appropriate funding solutions based on property-specific needs.

Financing for real estate may be raised from development financing and acquisition-related financing to refinancing and construction financing or structured debt instruments. Every situation requires comprehension of the project financial model, repayment capacity, asset profile, and cash flows.

Thus, to find the appropriate financing structure, one should first familiarize oneself with the project rather than simply look for the requisite loan.

Investment Banking Thinking for Growing Businesses

Investment banking historically has been linked with large companies and important transactions. However, the concepts that govern investment banking can be extremely helpful for businesses that are getting ready to make a huge move, raise needed funds, purchase pieces of a firm, restructure their company, or have complicated financing issues.

An investment banking advisory firm can help businesses approach capital decisions from a broader perspective.

Instead of treating financing as a disconnected event, advisory-based strategies can carefully analyze the state of the company, what needed money for the project it is going to realise, the sources of funds that it can use, structure of transactions, and its goals for the long term.

This method will prove helpful especially when the company is about to undertake a large-scale project or gets ready to use a variety of funding options.

The New Capital Stack

One of the changes in modern corporate finance is the growing focus on combining different forms of capital instead of relying on just one source of money.

A company might need short-term money for activities while also setting up longer-term finance for a project. A company that deals with property might need money to buy a building before getting funds for construction. A company that is growing might need money to run day to day operations while getting ready for an investment.

These needs can be handled by having a planned mix of different types of money.

The main thing is knowing which kind of money is needed at each part of the business cycle.

Why Being Ready with Financial Information is Important Before Talking to Money Sources?

Companies typically place a lot of attention on the amount of finances they aim to collect. However, capital providers may also want to pay attention to the quality of underlying financial data and logic of capital requirement.

Financial models, feasibility studies, cash-flow forecasts, repayment plans, business valuations, project assumptions, and other documentation can improve the understanding of potential financing.

Drafting the above-mentioned points can make the financing process easier prior to the engagement with capital providers.

Thus, professional consulting assistance can help companies with transforming their financial data into meaningful capital strategy.

How Navifin Capital Helps with Smart Money Planning?

Navifin Capital assists businesses in dealing with their financial undertakings in an organized manner.

Navifin Capital offers a wide range of services including project finance, debt advisory, working capital needs, corporate finance, trade finance, feasibility studies, financial modeling and investment banking services.

Its approach is centered around assessing the necessity of the customer’s business before choosing the most suitable financing framework. It does not matter if the organization is looking for liquidity, property financing, project financing, or financial advice since bringing about the required financing framework is the key goal.

Combining high-level financial analysis and considerable dealing experience, Navifin Capital offers the best way to approach financing negotiations.

Building a More Responsive Financial Strategy

In the fast-paced world of corporate finance, being responsive is becoming paramount. Companies must have the flexibility to deal with their immediate needs, along with the financial ability to deal with their long-term needs.

This means that businesses should understand their cash-flow cycles, predict their capital needs. Prepare financial reports and determine sources of funding before a funding need arises.

By viewing capital management as an ongoing process, companies will be better positioned to deal with changing market conditions.

Conclusion

Capital strategy is no longer just about obtaining funds. In a changing business world, companies must know when and how long capital will be needed and how different financing arrangements can fit together.

Different uses of capital require differing approaches, from a short-term working capital loan for instant liquidity to loans based on real estate and strategic corporate transactions.

With professional knowledge in various aspects of corporate financing, project financing, debt consulting, real estate financing, and banking services, Navfin Capital provides businesses with the means to develop a more organized approach to capital.

India is focusing on cleaner energy sources and better waste management, and Compressed Biogas (CBG) is becoming an important part of this transition. Organic waste such as cow dung, food waste, agricultural residue, poultry litter and other biomass can be processed to produce biogas and further upgraded into CBG.

To support the development of CBG production in India, the Government introduced the SATAT Scheme (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) in October 2018. The initiative aims to encourage CBG production, create new business opportunities and support the use of renewable fuels.

1. What is the SATAT Scheme?

The SATAT scheme for CBG plants is designed to increase the production and use of Compressed Biogas across India. Biogas is first produced through the anaerobic digestion of organic waste. It is then purified and upgraded to remove impurities and increase methane concentration. After compression, the gas can be used as a cleaner fuel for transportation and industrial applications.

The scheme has been associated with a target of establishing around 5,000 CBG plants with an overall production potential of approximately 15 million metric tonnes of CBG per year. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), including companies such as IOCL, BPCL and HPCL, have been involved in inviting entrepreneurs to develop CBG projects and enter into offtake arrangements.

2. Who Can Set Up a CBG Plant Under SATAT?

Entrepreneurs and business entities interested in establishing a commercial CBG plant can explore opportunities under the SATAT framework. Applicants may include individuals, partnerships, companies and other eligible business structures, depending on applicable requirements.

One important aspect is obtaining a Letter of Intent (LOI) from participating OMCs. A CBG offtake agreement can provide a structured route for selling the CBG produced by the plant. Plant capacity and other technical, financial and contractual requirements also need to be considered before starting a project.

Before investing in a CBG project, developers should evaluate feedstock availability, land, technology, plant capacity, transportation requirements and the long-term availability of organic waste.

3. Financial Support and Incentives

Setting up a CBG plant requires significant investment in digesters, gas purification systems, compressors, storage, feedstock handling and other infrastructure. Government support and financing mechanisms can therefore play an important role in project development.

The SATAT-related framework described by Koshish includes financial assistance, priority-sector lending, market development support and infrastructure-related support. Certain capital assistance provisions may apply subject to the relevant scheme conditions and eligibility requirements.

Developers should always verify the latest government guidelines and applicable conditions before calculating the subsidy, financial assistance or expected project returns.

4. Benefits of SATAT for CBG Projects

The SATAT initiative can support the development of a structured market for Compressed Biogas in India. One important component is the potential for long-term CBG offtake arrangements with participating OMCs.

CBG projects can also generate environmental and social benefits. They convert organic waste into useful energy while supporting better waste management. Farmers and waste generators can potentially benefit from the organised use of biomass, while the production process can also generate organic manure as a useful by-product.

For businesses, a well-planned CBG plant can combine waste management, renewable energy production and resource recovery within one project.

5. Why CBG is Important for India’s Clean Energy Future

India generates large quantities of agricultural, animal and organic waste. Converting this waste into renewable fuel can help create additional value from resources that might otherwise require disposal.

CBG can be used as an alternative to conventional natural gas-based fuels in suitable applications. Its development also supports broader objectives related to renewable energy, waste-to-energy solutions and reduction of dependence on fossil fuels.

The SATAT initiative is therefore an important part of India’s developing CBG ecosystem. However, every project should be evaluated individually based on feedstock availability, technology, project costs, financing, offtake arrangements and applicable government regulations.

Conclusion

The SATAT Scheme for Compressed Biogas Plants provides a framework for encouraging CBG production from organic waste and biomass. With opportunities related to offtake agreements, financing support and waste-to-energy development, the scheme can be relevant for entrepreneurs exploring commercial CBG projects.

A successful CBG plant in India requires more than government support. Proper feedstock planning, suitable technology, efficient operations, financial planning and compliance are equally important. Businesses interested in developing CBG projects should assess all these factors carefully and check the latest applicable government guidelines before moving forward.

Domestic Biogas , Commercial Biogas , BioGas , Sewage Water Treatment Plant , Effluent Water Treatment Plant , Zero Liquid Discharge Water Treatment Plant

The limited-period carnival features property inventory worth over ₹700 crore across Saya Gold Avenue in Indirapuram, Saya South X in Greater Noida West, and Saya Piazza at Jaypee Wish Town, Noida.

Buyers can explore ready-to-move-in luxury residences with high-street retail spaces and business suites. The campaign also includes selected festive pricing and booking benefits for buyers. It’s a golden opportunity for both homebuyers and retail investors.

For someone comparing the top builders in Delhi NCR, initiatives like this can offer an opportunity to evaluate multiple property formats from the same developer while considering location, intended use and investment objectives.

How to Evaluate Any Real Estate Builder?

Regardless of which developer you’re considering, a few checks are applicable universally:

Confirm RERA registration for the specific project, not just the parent company.

Look at the builder’s history of on-time possession for at least two or three completed projects.

Visit a completed or under-construction site rather than relying only on brochures.

Check the connectivity and future infrastructure plans around the project. The metro lines, distance to expressways, and proximity to employment hubs affect the resale value in the long term.

Compare price per square foot against similar projects in the same micro-market before finalising.

Conclusion

Delhi NCR’s builder landscape is wide enough to serve almost every budget and lifestyle preference. From DLF’s legacy luxury developments to Saya’s luxury housing push, every real estate developer in Delhi NCR offers a unique combination of retail and residential projects. Therefore, selecting the right builder depends on your budget and investment purpose.

FAQs

Q1. Who are considered the top builders in Delhi NCR for luxury and affordable housing?

DLF, Saya, Godrej Properties, M3M, ATS Infrastructure, and other leading developers. . are generally seen as leaders in the luxury segment in India.

Q2. Is Saya Group a credible company to invest in both residential and commercial real estate?

Yes, Saya Group has been working in Delhi NCR since 1996 and has completed more than 4 luxury residential projects as well as commercial developments..

Q3. Which Delhi NCR locations are best for affordable housing right now?

Greater Noida West, outer Gurugram, and parts of Ghaziabad, including Raj Nagar Extension and Indirapuram, currently offer some of the more accessible price points in the region.

Q4. Are commercial investments from developers like Saya Group a good option?

Commercial projects in high-footfall corridors, such as retail and mixed-use developments in Noida and Greater Noida West, offer rental income potential.

If you’ve ever sat through a meeting where someone flashed up a slide crammed with fifteen colours of bar charts and then asked, “So, thoughts?”, you already know why storytelling in corporate training has become such a hot topic. I’ve been in that room. I’ve also been the one presenting the chart, wondering why nobody was nodding along. That gap between “the data is right there” and “the team actually gets it” is exactly what corporate data storytelling is meant to close.

This guide walks through what to look for when you’re picking a data storytelling course for your team, why it matters more than most L&D budgets give it credit for, and how to avoid wasting money on a workshop that looks good on a training calendar but doesn’t change a single behaviour back at the desk.

Data Storytelling: How to Effectively Tell a Story with Data

Data storytelling isn’t just “put a chart next to some words”. It’s the discipline of combining data, visuals and narrative so an audience understands what happened, why it matters and what to do next. In my experience running workshops with finance teams, marketing squads and government analysts, the biggest lightbulb moment is almost always the same: people realise they’ve been presenting data, not a decision.

A good data story usually has three ingredients. First, context: who’s the audience and what do they already care about? Second, a clear visual that removes clutter rather than adding it (yes, that means killing off the 3D pie chart, sorry). Third, a narrative is a beginning that sets the scene, a middle that shows the tension or insight, and an end that points to action. Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic’s well-known book on the topic makes a similar point: the goal is to guide your audience to a conclusion, not just hand them a spreadsheet and hope for the best.

None of this is about making data “pretty”. It’s about respecting your audience’s time and cognitive load. That’s the whole game.

Recommendations to Learn Data Storytelling

If you’re serious about building this skill across a team rather than just one enthusiastic analyst, a few things tend to work.

Start with the fundamentals of data visualisation before layering on narrative technique, colour theory, chart choice and decluttering. Matter more than people expect, and skipping this step is the most common mistake I see. Pair formal learning (a course, a book, a data storytelling webinar) with real work. Skills fade fast if people learn a framework on a Tuesday and don’t apply it until three months later. And build in feedback loops a peer review of a dashboard or a report critique session does more for retention than another slide deck of “best practice tips”.

Reading widely helps too. A solid data storytelling book on your shelf (or your team’s shared drive) gives people something to return to when the workshop memory fades, and listening to a data talk podcast on the commute is a low-effort way to keep the ideas ticking over between formal sessions.

What Are the Best Courses for Improving Data Storytelling Skills?

There’s no single “best” course. It depends on your team’s starting point, industry and how hands-on you want the training to be. That said, the strongest data storytelling courses share a few traits. They combine theory with practical exercises using your organisation’s own data (or something close to it), rather than generic sample datasets nobody in the room actually cares about. They’re taught by someone with real corporate experience, not just an academic understanding of visual design. And they leave you with a repeatable framework, not just a one-off “aha” feeling that evaporates by Friday.

Short online courses are fine for individual learners wanting a broad introduction. For teams, though, I’d lean towards a live, interactive, and built around your actual reporting challenges. It’s more expensive upfront, but the retention and application rates are noticeably higher.

Data Visualisation Training: Workshops & Courses

Data visualisation training and data storytelling training often get lumped together, but they’re not quite the same thing. Visualisation training focuses on chart selection, design principles, colour and layout essentially and how to make a graph that doesn’t lie or confuse. Storytelling training builds on top of that, teaching people how to sequence information and build a narrative that lands with a specific audience.

The best workshops teach both, in that order. It’s hard to tell a compelling story with a chart that’s technically wrong or visually misleading, so visualisation fundamentals come first, then narrative structure gets layered on. If you’re evaluating a data visualisation and storytelling course for your organisation, ask to see a sample “before and after” from a previous cohort. If the provider can’t show you real transformation examples, that’s a bit of a red flag.

Data Storytelling Workshop Providers: What to Look for When Hiring

This is the part most L&D managers get wrong, not because they’re careless, but because a slick sales deck can hide a shallow programme. Here’s what I’d actually check before signing off a training budget.

Ask about the facilitator’s background. Have they worked inside organisations doing this for real, or have they only ever taught it? Ask whether the session uses your team’s own data or reporting templates, because generic case studies rarely stick. Ask what happens after the workshop: is there a follow-up session, a resource pack, or is it a one-and-done event? And ask for outcomes from past clients, ideally with specifics rather than vague testimonials about “great energy in the room”.

If you’re based in Australia and searching for a data storytelling speaker Australia-wide, it’s also worth checking whether they run in-person sessions, virtual workshops, or both. Travel logistics and time zones matter more than people plan for, especially with distributed teams across states.

Storytelling with Data: Before and After — Practical Makeovers for Powerful Data Stories

Nothing teaches this skill faster than seeing a bad slide fixed in front of you. I’ve watched a cluttered dashboard with six charts, four colours and zero clear takeaway get stripped back to one clean chart with a single highlighted data point and a one-line headline insight. The reaction in the room is almost always the same: quiet, then someone says, “Oh, that’s so much better,” like they’ve just seen a magic trick.

A typical before-and-after makeover removes unnecessary gridlines, cuts the colour palette down to two or three purposeful shades, replaces a legend with direct labelling, and adds a plain-English headline that states the insight rather than just naming the chart (“Q3 support tickets” becomes “Support tickets dropped 22% after the new onboarding flow”). Small changes. Big difference in how fast a room understands what they’re looking at.

5 Best Data Storytelling Courses, Workshops, and Free Resources

You don’t need to spend a fortune to start building this skill. A mix of paid and free resources usually works best for teams with mixed budgets and mixed learning styles.

A facilitated, in-person or virtual workshop tailored to your team’s actual data — the highest-impact option for organisations serious about change.

A structured online course covering visualisation fundamentals and narrative technique, good for self-paced individual learners.

A well-regarded data storytelling book, read as a team book club over a few weeks, with discussion sessions built in.

Free webinars and recorded sessions — a decent data analytics webinar or data literacy webinar can be a low-cost way to test interest before committing a budget to a full programme.

Podcasts and short-form content, like a regular data talk podcast, for ongoing reinforcement between formal training.

Data Visualisation and Storytelling Course: What Good Looks Like

A genuinely good combined course does three things well. It teaches the “why” behind design choices, not just the “how” so people can make good decisions on new data, not just replicate a template. It includes live critique of real work, because feedback is where the actual learning happens. And it gives people a simple framework they can apply under time pressure, since most reports get built the night before a meeting, not in a leisurely week of careful planning.

Data Storytelling Courses & Certificates [2026]

Certification has become more common as organisations look for a way to formally recognise this skill on a CV or performance review. Heading into 2026, expect to see more blended programmes, a mix of live workshop days, self-paced online modules and a final practical assessment where participants present an actual business insight using their own data. A certificate isn’t the point in itself, but it does give teams a tangible reason to prioritise attendance, and it gives individuals something concrete to show for the time invested.

Data Storytelling: Build Your Data and AI Skills

As more teams lean on AI tools to generate charts, summaries and even first-draft reports, the human skill of shaping that output into a clear, honest story matters more, not less. AI can build you ten different chart types in seconds. It still can’t reliably decide which one your CFO actually needs to see or which insight is worth leading with. Pairing data storytelling training with broader data and AI literacy is quickly becoming the more sensible approach for organisations that want their teams genuinely data-confident, not just data-adjacent.

If your team is exploring what a tailored programme could look like, Selena Fisk’s data storytelling training is worth a look. Sessions are built around real organisational data rather than generic examples, which tends to make the learning stick.

Conclusion

Choosing the right data storytelling course for your team isn’t about finding the flashiest workshop provider or the cheapest online module. It’s about matching the training to where your team actually sits today. Do they need visualisation basics, narrative structure, or both? And make sure whatever you choose uses real data and includes genuine follow-up, not just a nice afternoon out of the office.

If you’d like help figuring out which format suits your organisation, get in touch with Selena Fisk to talk through a tailored data storytelling workshop for your team.

FAQ

How long does it take to learn data storytelling as a team?

Most teams see a noticeable shift in report quality within a few weeks of a focused workshop, provided they apply the framework to real projects straight away rather than letting it sit as a “one day away day” memory.

What’s the difference between data visualisation and data storytelling?

Visualisation is about how you display data clearly and accurately. Storytelling is about how you sequence and frame that data so an audience understands the insight and knows what to do with it. You generally need both.

Do we need a data storytelling course if our team already uses dashboards?

Yes, often more so. Dashboards without narrative context tend to get scrolled past rather than acted on. A good course teaches people to pull the headline insight out of the dashboard, not just build the dashboard itself.

Is it worth hiring a data storytelling speaker for a conference or all-hands?

If you want to spark interest before rolling out a deeper training programme, a speaker session can work well as a starting point, just make sure it’s paired with follow-up practical training, or the enthusiasm tends to fade within a fortnight.

Can data storytelling training work for non-technical teams?

Definitely, in fact, some of the most engaged workshostorytelling speaker Australia storytelling speaker Australian participants I’ve worked with have been from HR and marketing, not data teams. The skills are about clarity and narrative, not coding ability.

A successful exhibition booth is more than an attractive structure placed on a trade show floor. It is a strategic marketing tool designed to attract attention, communicate a brand message, engage visitors, and generate valuable business opportunities. With hundreds of exhibitors competing for attention at major trade shows, companies need more than impressive graphics to make their booth stand out.

So, what makes some exhibition booth builders perform better than others? The answer lies in combining thoughtful booth design, clear branding, visitor engagement, practical functionality, and a well-planned marketing strategy.

In this article, we explore the key secrets behind high-performing exhibition booths and how businesses can use them to maximise their trade show results.

1. Start With a Clear Exhibition Goal

One of the biggest secrets to a successful custom exhibition stand is having a clear objective before beginning the design process.

Your booth should be designed around what you want to achieve at the event. Your goals could include:

Generating qualified leads

Launching a new product

Increasing brand awareness

Meeting existing customers

Demonstrating products or services

Building partnerships

Increasing sales opportunities

A booth designed only to “look impressive” may attract visitors but fail to deliver measurable business results. When the booth design is connected to specific objectives, every element—from the layout to the graphics and meeting areas—can serve a purpose.

2. Create an Eye-Catching Booth Design

First impressions matter enormously on a busy trade show floor. Visitors often decide within seconds whether a booth deserves their attention.

High-performing exhibition booth design ideas use strong visual elements to create immediate interest. This can include large-format graphics, creative structures, illuminated signage, attractive product displays, hanging signs, and distinctive architectural features.

However, eye-catching does not mean overcrowded. Too many colours, messages, graphics, and products can make a booth difficult to understand.

A successful exhibition booth should have a clean visual hierarchy. Visitors should quickly understand:

Who you are → What you offer → Why they should talk to you.

This simple communication structure can make your booth more effective and easier to navigate.

3. Make Your Brand Impossible to Miss

Brand visibility is one of the most important factors in 20×20 trade show booth rental performance.

Your company name, logo, colors, and key message should be visible from multiple directions whenever possible. Large overhead signs and strategically positioned branding can help visitors recognize your booth from a distance.

Your main message should also be short and easy to understand. Instead of filling walls with paragraphs of information, focus on a powerful headline supported by concise messaging.

Remember that trade show visitors are constantly moving. They do not have time to read lengthy content while walking through an exhibition hall.

4. Design Around Visitor Movement

An attractive booth is not necessarily an effective booth. The layout needs to make it easy for visitors to enter, explore, interact, and speak with your team.

A well-planned exhibition booth considers visitor movement from the moment someone approaches the stand.

Open entrances can make a booth feel welcoming, while clear pathways can prevent congestion. Product displays should be positioned where visitors can easily access them without blocking important areas.

Depending on your objectives, your booth may include:

Product demonstration areas

Reception counters

Private meeting rooms

Semi-private discussion spaces

Storage areas

Interactive displays

Hospitality zones

Every square meter should have a purpose.

5. Use Interactive Experiences

Modern trade show visitors expect more than static displays. Interactive experiences can encourage people to spend more time at your booth and learn about your products.

Depending on your industry and budget, you can introduce:

Touchscreen product demonstrations

Digital presentations

Augmented or virtual reality experiences

Live demonstrations

Interactive product displays

Games and competitions

Product sampling

The goal is not to add technology simply because it looks impressive. Technology should support your marketing message and improve the visitor experience.

For example, a touchscreen that helps visitors explore product features can be much more useful than a screen continuously playing a generic corporate video.

6. Give Visitors a Reason to Stop

Even the most beautiful booth needs a strong reason for visitors to stop.

Think about what your target audience wants to discover. A product launch, live demonstration, industry insight, expert presentation, special offer, or useful experience can create a strong attraction.

Your booth should answer the visitor’s question:

“Why should I stop here?”

A compelling headline combined with a relevant experience can turn passing traffic into meaningful conversations.

7. Train Your Booth Staff

Booth design may attract visitors, but your team converts attention into opportunities.

A high-performing trade show exhibit builder in San Jose needs trained staff who understand the company’s objectives, products, target audience, and lead qualification process.

Staff should know how to:

Welcome visitors naturally

Start meaningful conversations

Ask relevant questions

Identify qualified prospects

Explain products clearly

Demonstrate solutions

Collect accurate lead information

Schedule follow-up meetings

Avoid having staff members spend the entire event looking at their phones or talking only to colleagues. Every visitor represents a potential opportunity.

8. Build Comfortable Meeting Spaces

Trade shows are noisy and crowded, making comfortable meeting spaces extremely valuable.

If your goal is lead generation or business development, consider incorporating dedicated meeting areas into your booth. Depending on the booth size, you could include open discussion tables, semi-private meeting areas, or enclosed meeting rooms.

These spaces allow sales teams to move beyond quick conversations and have more detailed discussions with qualified prospects.

For larger custom exhibition booths, private meeting rooms can also provide a professional environment for negotiations, presentations, and client discussions.

9. Use High-Quality Graphics and Messaging

Graphics are one of the most visible elements of an exhibition booth, so quality matters.

Poor-quality images, excessive text, inconsistent branding, or difficult-to-read fonts can reduce the professional appearance of your stand.

Use high-resolution visuals and keep your messaging concise. Important information should be readable from a reasonable distance.

Instead of trying to explain everything on the walls, use graphics to attract attention and encourage visitors to start a conversation with your team.

10. Integrate Lead Generation Into the Booth

A high-performing booth should make it easy to capture visitor information.

Lead generation can be integrated into the visitor journey through:

QR codes

Digital forms

Product registrations

Appointment booking

Demo requests

Business card collection

Lead scanning systems

However, lead collection should not feel intrusive. Offer something valuable in return, such as a product demonstration, consultation, useful resource, or personalized information.

The quality of leads is more important than simply collecting a large number of contacts.

11. Think Beyond the Trade Show Floor

Your exhibition strategy should begin before the event and continue after it ends.

Before the show, promote your participation through email marketing, social media, website content, and direct outreach. Tell potential customers where they can find you and what they can expect at your booth.

During the event, encourage visitors to engage with your brand and share their experience on social media.

After the show, follow up quickly while conversations are still fresh. Segment leads according to their level of interest and create appropriate follow-up messages.

A beautiful booth can create opportunities, but effective follow-up is what helps turn those opportunities into business.

12. Choose the Right Booth Partner

The exhibition booth builder or stand contractor you choose can have a major impact on the final result.

An experienced exhibition partner can help transform your ideas into a practical booth that combines creativity, functionality, branding, and visitor engagement.

When selecting a booth partner, consider their:

Portfolio and previous projects

Experience with your exhibition location

Design and build capabilities

Project management process

Production quality

Installation and dismantling services

Understanding of event deadlines

Ability to work within your budget

The right partner can make the entire exhibition process more organized and efficient.

Conclusion

High-performing, organised booths are not successful by accident. They combine strategic planning, creative booth design, strong branding, visitor-friendly layouts, engaging experiences, trained staff, and effective lead-generation systems.

The secret is to stop thinking of your exhibition booth as simply a physical display. Instead, treat it as a complete brand experience and a powerful sales and marketing environment.

Whether you are planning a compact booth for a regional event or a large custom exhibition stand for an international trade show, every design decision should support your business goals.

With the right strategy and an experienced exhibition booth design and build partner, your booth can attract more attention, create stronger visitor engagement, generate qualified leads, and deliver a better return from your trade show investment.

Regulatory shifts and food safety compliance heavily influence packaging procurement. Many operations now evaluate the difference between paper containers vs plastic containers to meet the required operational standards. Paper and plastic represent the primary options available for bulk packaging. Comparing these two requires looking at specific functional parameters. Material selection depends entirely on food type, unit cost, structural durability, sustainability metrics, and regional waste regulations. Businesses balance these factors based on daily dispatch volumes.

Understanding Paper Containers and Plastic Containers

Paper containers for food packaging often utilise kraft paper, paperboard, or moulded pulp. They sometimes incorporate a thin polyethylene lining to prevent leakage completely. Sometimes they include a thin lining of polyethylene to make them completely leak-proof. Polymer materials such as polypropylene, PET or polystyrene are used in plastic containers for food packaging. These synthetic resins produce hard structures. These products have different applications in the food industry. These are used for taking orders for takeaway at a restaurant and are essential for cloud kitchens in terms of durability in transportation. Commonly chosen for moisture control by bakeries. Supermarkets prefer these packings for easy shelf display and in food delivery systems, both as temperature control and for structural stability, to maintain the structures of the food products during transportation.

Paper Containers vs Plastic Containers: Side-by-Side Comparison

Evaluating both packaging types requires a direct look at their specific technical specifications. The table below outlines how each material behaves under standard operational conditions in food service environments.

Which Packaging Performs Better for Different Types of Food?

Food composition dictates the required packaging barrier properties. Different menu items interact with container materials in specific ways. Matching the food to the correct container prevents costly structural failure.

Paper Containers

Salads look good in kraft bowls. Plastic clamshells trap moisture.

Desserts get an aesthetic unboxing from paper. Plastic shows intricate layers.

Bakery products need unlined paper to let crusts breathe. Plastic causes sogginess.

Plastic Containers

Hot meals require polypropylene plastic to retain heat. Paper softens from steam.

Cold foods need PET plastic to prevent condensation leakage. Unlined paperboard absorbs moisture.

Oily and greasy foods require plastic to block grease. Paper needs PE coatings.

Soups and curries use plastic to prevent sloshing. Paper bowls risk leaking.

Frozen foods rely on plastic to resist extreme temperature drops. Paper becomes brittle.

Environmental Impact: Paper Containers vs Plastic Containers

Analyzing environmental footprints requires looking beyond surface-level marketing claims. The extraction and processing of these two types of material must be investigated as well as the end-of-life disposal realities.

Renewable resources

Paper is made from the raw pulp from trees. This is based on a managed forest and ongoing cycles of replanting. All plastic is derived from fossil fuels, which are mined with deep-penetration drilling and refining.

Carbon footprint

The pulp milling process consumes much water and energy in making paper. Plastic production uses high temperatures, and a significant amount of GHGs are emitted when plastic polymers are chemically synthesized.

Biodegradability

Natural paper fibers break down through bacterial action in most outdoor environments. Synthetic plastic molecules remain intact for centuries. They fragment into microplastics instead of returning to elemental states.

Compostability

Unlined paper breaks down quickly in commercial composting facilities. Soil microbes digest the cellulose fibers. Conventional plastic never composts. Some bioplastics require specific industrial heating conditions to decompose properly.

Recycling process

Paper recycling involves repulping the material to form new sheets. Grease contamination ruins this process. Plastic recycling requires sorting by resin code, melting, and reforming into lower-grade synthetic materials.

Plastic pollution

Synthetic containers frequently escape local municipal waste streams. They accumulate in marine environments and terrestrial ecosystems. Wind and water currents distribute these lightweight rigid materials across vast geographic distances.

Waste management challenges

Municipalities struggle with mixed material sorting. Lined paper requires specialized chemical separation. Plastic food containers often clog mechanical sorting screens. Food residue forces both materials into standard landfill routing.

Cost Comparison: Are Paper Containers Worth the Extra Investment?

Manufacturing paper packaging requires high raw material spending and handles heavier shipping weights. Plastic production operates differently. It achieves massive economies of scale through rapid automated molding. Bulk purchasing drops the unit price for plastic significantly across large orders. Transportation cost heavily favor synthetic materials due to their low weight and nested storage efficiency. Paper offers distinct long-term brand value instead.

Consumers actively support operations using sustainable packaging materials. Businesses calculate if this initial packaging cost increase generates higher sales volumes. Improved brand perception often offsets the higher operational expenses.

Advantages of Paper Containers

Paper establishes a strong eco-friendly image.

The flat surface allows better branding and custom printing.

Mills produce this packaging from a renewable material.

Consumer preference leans toward fiber-based packaging.

These are suitable for sustainable businesses meeting green mandates.

Advantages of Plastic Containers

Synthetic polymers offer specific mechanical benefits for food service operators. These properties resolve major logistical issues during delivery routes and extended food storage periods.

The rigid structure provides high durability against crushing forces.

Tight seal mechanisms deliver excellent leak resistance for liquids.

The synthetic wall acts as a complete moisture barrier.

Airtight enclosures ensure longer food preservation in display cases.

Thin polymer walls result in lightweight transportation overall.

The seamless bottom construction makes them suitable for liquid foods.

When Should You Choose Paper Containers Instead of Plastic?

Cafes serve dry pastries and sandwiches that do not require liquid barriers. Quick-service restaurants move inventory fast enough that paper degradation is irrelevant. Bakeries use paper to prevent condensation from ruining crusts. Eco-conscious brands utilize pulp products to align with their corporate identity. Events and festivals mandate paper to simplify site cleanup and waste sorting. Takeaway packaging for short distances functions perfectly with paper. The structural integrity holds up long enough for the customer to consume the meal immediately.

When Are Plastic Containers Still the Better Choice?

Long-distance delivery networks expose food to extended vibration and temperature changes. Liquid foods like broths demand rigid seals to prevent spillage in delivery bags. Frozen products need synthetic barriers to stop freezer burn during prolonged cold storage. Heavy meals with dense components require thick polymer bases to prevent structural collapse. Extended storage requirements in retail supermarkets necessitate airtight packaging. Plastic completely stops bacterial ingress. Operators must select plastic when physical durability overrides aesthetic considerations in the supply chain.

How to Choose the Right Food Packaging for Your Business

Procurement decisions require a systematic approach. Managers must assess their specific menu requirements against material limitations. Reviewing the following parameters prevents costly packaging failures and maintains total customer satisfaction.

Assess the food type regarding moisture and temperature.

Calculate the delivery distance and transit time.

Evaluate customer expectations regarding presentation.

Define sustainability goals and waste targets.

Determine the maximum allowable budget.

Analyze branding requirements for custom printing.

Check local packaging regulations.

Conclusion

There’s no one material that is good for all uses. The final selection will depend on the food application, operational requirements, sustainability objectives and customer preferences in the region. To test materials in actual kitchen conditions, a business should test them. Choose packaging that will protect the product throughout the shipping process but is still cost-effective for daily shipments.

WhatsApp itself took years to turn a profit, and for a long time it didn’t even try. No ads, no subscriptions, just a small fee some users paid once a year. Then Facebook bought it for $19 billion, and everything about how a chat app makes money changed.

So if messaging apps don’t run on ads the way most free apps do, how does anyone actually make revenue from one? Turns out there are several solid paths, and businesses building their own chat platforms today mix and match them depending on their audience.

Why Chat Apps Are Hard to Monetize (At First)

People expect messaging to be free. Charge a subscription fee upfront, and you’ll lose most of your user base before it even grows. That’s the core problem every chat app founder runs into.

The fix isn’t to charge users directly — it’s to build revenue around the platform instead of on top of it. That’s exactly what companies pursuing WhatsApp clone app development figure out early. The app itself stays free. The money comes from what businesses and advanced users are willing to pay for on top of the free experience.

1. Business Messaging and API Access

This is where the real money sits for WhatsApp, and it’s the model most new chat apps copy first.

Companies want to talk to customers where they already are, and that’s inside a messaging app, not buried in an email inbox. WhatsApp Business API charges companies per conversation, and pricing shifts based on the country and the type of message sent (a support reply costs less than a marketing message, for instance).

A chat app built with this model in mind can charge:

Per-message or per-conversation fees for businesses

Monthly platform fees for access to the business API

Tiered pricing based on message volume

Large enterprises pay well for reliable, high-volume messaging infrastructure, which makes this one of the most stable income streams for any app built through the best WhatsApp clone app development company.

2. In-App Advertising (Carefully Placed)

WhatsApp avoided ads for years because Jan Koum, one of its founders, hated them. But not every chat app has to follow that same rule.

Done right, ads inside a status feed or a discovery tab don’t ruin the experience the way a banner in the middle of a chat thread would. Facebook eventually added ads to WhatsApp Status, and it didn’t cause the mass exodus people expected.

Businesses building a chat application similar to WhatsApp can add:

Native ads in a Status or Stories-style feature

Sponsored stickers or GIFs

Promoted business profiles inside a discovery section

The key rule here: keep ads out of private conversations. Users tolerate ads in shared, public-facing spaces far more than they’ll tolerate them showing up between personal messages.

3. Premium Features and Subscriptions

Not everyone wants a paid tier, but a meaningful chunk of users will pay for extra convenience once they’re already hooked on the free version.

Common premium add-ons include:

Larger file-sharing limits

Custom themes and chat wallpapers

Advanced privacy controls, like hiding read receipts selectively

Multi-device support without the usual restrictions

Priority customer support

Telegram runs this model well with Telegram Premium, charging for things like faster downloads and bigger file limits while keeping the core app free. Any team working on a WhatsApp-style messaging app can lift this same playbook — free for everyone, better for people willing to pay a small monthly fee.

4. E-Commerce and In-App Shopping

WhatsApp has quietly become a shopping tool in many countries, especially where small businesses rely on it to sell directly to customers. WhatsApp added product catalogs, in-chat payments, and business profiles specifically because so many sellers were already using the app that way.

A chat platform can build this in from day one instead of bolting it on later:

Product catalogs businesses can share inside chats

In-app checkout and payment processing

A small transaction fee on every sale completed through the platform

This model works especially well in markets where WhatsApp already dominates small business communication, like India, Brazil, and much of Southeast Asia.

5. Data Insights (Handled the Right Way)

This one needs care, since privacy expectations around messaging apps run high. Reading private messages for ad targeting is a fast way to destroy user trust.

That said, businesses can still generate value from aggregated, anonymized data:

Usage trends sold to market research firms

Anonymized engagement metrics offered to enterprise clients

Insights into peak usage times, popular features, and regional adoption

None of this involves reading actual conversations. It’s closer to the kind of analytics dashboards SaaS companies already sell, just built around chat behavior instead of website traffic.

6. White-Label Licensing

Here’s a revenue stream a lot of people overlook: selling the platform itself, not just access to it.

Plenty of companies want their own branded messaging app but have zero interest in building one from scratch. That’s exactly the gap filled by teams offering top On-demand WhatsApp clone application development — pre-built, customizable chat platforms that other businesses can license, rebrand, and launch under their own name.

This model turns one piece of software into multiple income streams:

A licensing fee for the base platform

Charges for custom feature development

Ongoing maintenance and hosting fees

Charges for white-label branding and setup

It’s one of the fastest ways to earn from chat app technology without needing millions of end users of your own.

7. Payment Processing Fees

Once a chat app supports peer-to-peer payments, transaction fees become an easy add-on. WhatsApp Pay already works this way in markets like India and Brazil, letting users send money directly inside a chat.

Even a small percentage fee on transactions adds up fast once volume increases, especially in markets where mobile payments already dominate over cash or card use.

Picking the Right Mix for Your Chat App

No single model listed above needs to carry the entire business. WhatsApp itself blends business messaging, e-commerce tools, and payment processing rather than relying on just one revenue stream.

Businesses starting fresh usually plan their monetization strategy around three questions:

Who’s the target audience? Consumers, businesses, or both?

Where will the app launch first? Markets like India and Brazil favor payments and commerce features; Western markets often respond better to premium subscriptions.

What long-term value does the platform offer? Messaging alone isn’t enough anymore — most successful apps layer commerce, business tools, or payments on top.

Getting these decisions right early on saves a lot of rework later. That’s why many founders bring in a team that offers best WhatsApp clone app development services — they’ve already built and tested these revenue models across different projects, so they know which features to prioritize and which ones rarely pay off.

Final Thoughts

A chat app can absolutely make money without charging users to send a text. WhatsApp built a multi-billion-dollar business on business messaging, e-commerce tools, and payment processing, not banner ads. Any founder chasing similar success has plenty of proven paths to follow instead of guessing from scratch.

Whether the plan involves business API access, premium subscriptions, white-label licensing, or a mix of everything, the strategy matters more than any single feature. Teams that get this right from day one, often with guidance from experienced WhatsApp clone app development partners, end up with a product that earns revenue steadily instead of scrambling to bolt on monetization after launch.
